Pandemic Legacy Season 0: February to April

Well, it's sure been some time since the last update. I'm going to try to do these more often so I can go into a bit more detail, I think - February and March are going to be brief.

The pace has slowed down a little, just because of other commitments, but we've still been chugging away strongly.

February

So, we had to disrupt some trials of this MEDUSA virus in Africa, as well as investigate some Soviet Scientists in North America.

This month was pretty... uneventful? We didn't manage to stop all three trials in Africa, so sadly Algiers has now become exposed, but no real consequences from that immediately - we don't see that until March.

However, starting this month, we started to become a bit more aggressive about creating tanks and sharing cards to enable us to do that.

Combined with the Medical Conference Coordinator's ability (move any other player or team up to three cities away as an action), tanks become very useful for clearing multiple agents off the board.

March

Disease cubes. Aaargh!

I guess it couldn't really be a game of Pandemic without actual diseases, though thankfully it's just the one (for now?).

This month was pretty straightforward - find Sabik in Prague, and find acquire a city in the Pacific Rim. Although, we had to finish another personality evaluation, and then we got slapped with a restriction - we could only Acquire Target from Washington.

We managed to find Sabik, and then we managed to acquire the targets. It was close, but we did it.

April

The biggest change happens in the setup for April. You get to create (and choose from) a second alias, in addition to your first!

As long as you're in a safehouse, you can spend an action to change aliases - you might want to do this because all Allied aliases have a different speciality (in common) than Neutral aliases, and presumably, when the Soviet aliases are created they'll have a different speciality still.

You also get a new occupation, which seems to be less medically-related than they were before - seems like you might need doctors to become electricians, in some cases. All Neutral aliases are able to move teams with them when the move to another city.

We were able to bug the control center, as required, and we also managed to disrupt trials in 2 of 3 cities again. It looks about fine, now, we managed to stash the exposed city in Santiago, which is in a dead end, so we might be alright with that. I've also got the ability to neutralise agents in an adjacent city, so we should be able to manage any flare ups there.
